
Dr. Md Abdus Salam is a scientist of BCSIR and currently serving as a project director of "Establishment of hydrogen Energy Laboratory-Project" BCSIR, Chittagong who has been engaging in research & development activities for 13 years. He has extensive experiences in strengthening industry-relevant research and development. He has obtained PhD in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia at 2014 and continued his research as postdoctoral fellow in the same department. He has contributed for 2 years as faculty member of Chemical Engineering department, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia after completion of his postdoctoral research. Dr Salam has to-date published more than 75 research publications in high impact journals, conference proceedings and two books. His active involvement in research, invention and innovation on hydrogen economy research (Hydrogen Production, Storage, distribution & Fuel Cell), catalysis and DFT based processes modelling made him active member of mission oriented researcher. Dr Salam established a solid track record in the field of Hydrogen Economy. He is an Associate Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and an Affiliate Member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). Dr Salam and his team is dedicated to implement hydrogen economy in Bangladesh through an annual development project (ADP) funded by Ministry of Science & Technology, Bangladesh.
